** CapEcon: "Σχεδόν αναπόφευκτη" η αναδιάρθρωση του ελληνικού χρέους
Η αναδιάρθρωση του ελληνικού χρέους είναι "σχεδόν αναπόφευκτη" εκτιμά η εταιρεία μακροοικονομικών ερευνών και αναλύσεων Capital Economics, όπως μεταδίδει το Dow Jones Newswires. Η Capital Economics "βλέπει" παράλληλα οργανωμένη αναδιάρθρωση του χρέους στο πλαίσιο του ευρωπαϊκού μηχανισμού χρηματοπιστωτικής σταθερότητας, πιθανότατα μετά το 2013, όπως μεταδίδει το πρακτορείο. Οι μετρήσεις του ελληνικού χρέους επιδεινώνονται καθώς η εφαρμογή των μέτρων λιτότητας επιβαρύνουν με φόντο και το ενδεχόμενο αύξησης των επιτοκίων στην Ευρώπη, σημειώνουν οι αναλυτές της Capital Economic."Λαμβάνοντας υπόψη αυτό το αδύναμο πλαίσιο, πιστεύουμε ότι το δημόσιο χρέος θα μπορούσε να αυξηθεί στο ιλιγγιώδες 170% του ΑΕΠ κατά τα επόμενα τρία χρόνια", προσθέτουν.-

**Stress tests: Στο μικροσκόπιο και τα υβριδικά κεφάλαια των τραπεζών
Οι ευρωπαϊκές ρυθμιστικές αρχές φέρεται να εξετάζουν το ενδεχόμενο να αποτρέψουν στις τράπεζες να κάνουν χρήση των λεγόμενων υβριδικών κεφαλαίων για τον προσδιορισμό των αποτελεσμάτων στα τεστ κοπώσεως μεταδίδει το Bloomberg επικαλούμενο άτομα με γνώση των διαπραγματεύσεων. Οι ρυθμιστικές αρχές ενδεχομένως να επιβάλουν στις τράπεζες ελάχιστο όριο 5% στο δείκτη core Tier 1 χωρίς να περιλαμβάνονται υβριδικά κεφάλαια όπως junior ομόλογα και προνομιούχες μετοχές, αναφέρει το πρακτορείο. Η Ευρωπαϊκή Τραπεζική Αρχή (European Banking Authority -EBA) ανακοίνωσε εξάλλου σήμερα ότι τα νέα σενάρια θα προσδιορίζουν "αυστηρότερα κριτήρια κεφαλαίου", μετά τις χθεσινές διαρροές για τα σενάρια που θα περιλαμβάνονται στις πανευρωπαϊκές ασκήσεις. Η EBA διευκρίνισε ότι η μεθοδολογία για τον υπολογισμό των αποτελεσμάτων από τα stress tests θα ανακοινωθεί τον Απρίλιο, ενώ διευκρίνισε ότι τα σενάρια δεν έχουν οριστικοποιηθεί .-

** Moody΄s: Υποβαθμίζει τα χρεόγραφα των "Ariadne" και "Titlos"
Η Moody΄s Investors Service ανακοίνωσε σήμερα ότι υποβάθμισε σε B1 την αξιολόγηση των τίτλων έκδοσης των Ariadne S.A. και Titlos plc μετά την υποβάθμιση της ελληνικής οικονομίας σε B1.Τα Ariadne και Titlos είναι τίτλοι προερχόμενοι από τιτλοποίηση με την υποστήριξη της ελληνικής κυβέρνησης, διευκρινίζει ο οίκος αξιολόγησης. Η αναθεώρηση ακολουθεί την υποβάθμιση των ομολόγων της ελληνικής κυβέρνησης σε B1 από Ba1 στις 7 Μαρτίου.-

** Οι τελικές αλλαγές στο Νομοσχέδιο για τις Natura
Τις τελικές αλλαγές στο Νομοσχέδιο για την βιοποικιλότητα που περιέχει τη ρύθμιση για τη δόμηση στις περιοχές Natura που ψηφίζεται σήμερα το απόγευμα ανακοίνωσε το υπουργείο Περιβάλλοντος.-

** Παραιτήθηκε ο γ.γ. του ΥΠΟΙΚ Δ. Γεωργακόπουλος
Την παραίτησή του για προσωπικούς λόγους υπέβαλε, με επιστολή που απέστειλε στο Μέγαρο Μαξίμου, ο γενικός γραμματέας του υπουργείου Οικονομικών, Δημήτρης Γεωργακόπουλος. Οι πληροφορίες αναφέρουν ότι οι πραγματικοί λόγοι είναι η έλλειψη επικοινωνίας με τον υπουργό Οικονομικών Γ. Παπακωνσταντίνου καθώς και το γεγονός ότι επιχειρήθηκε να του χρεωθεί η κακή πορεία των εσόδων.
Σημειώνεται ότι η παραίτηση του κ. Γεωργακόπουλου έγινε δεκτή.-

** Σόρος: Η κρίση του ευρώ πλησιάζει στο τέλος της
Την εκτίμηση ότι η κρίση του ευρώ «πλησιάζει στο τέλος της» διατυπώνει ο μεγαλοεπενδυτής Τζόρτζ Σόρος σε άρθρο του που δημοσιεύει η ευρείας κυκλοφορίας γαλλόφωνη εφημερίδα Λε Σουάρ.«Οι Ευρωπαίοι σήκωσαν τα μανίκια: Μετά την επείγουσα δημιουργία του Χρηματοπιστωτικού Ταμείου Στήριξης της Ευρωζώνης το Μάιο, εργάζονται, εδώ και πολλές εβδομάδες, στην σταθεροποίησή του με πιο πειθαρχημένες εθνικές πολιτικές» αναφέρει ο Τζορτζ Σόρος προσθέτοντας ότι μετά από μια εφιαλτική χρονιά όπου λίγο έλειψε να καταστραφεί το ενιαίο νόμισμα, οι διάφορες εκδόσεις ομολόγων, ιδιαίτερα στην Πορτογαλία και την Ισπανία, συνέβαλαν στην επιστροφή της ηρεμίας, όπως και η βελτίωση πολλών οικονομικών δεικτών, ειδικά στη Γερμανία.-

** Αλγερία: Δεν υπάρχει έλλειψη πετρελαίου στην αγορά

Δεν υπάρχει έλλειψη στη διεθνή αγορά τόνισε σε δηλώσεις του ο υπουργός Πετρελαίου της Αλγερίας, Youcef Yousfi, όπως μεταδίδει το Dow Jones Newswires. “Δεν υπάρχει έλλειψη στη φυσική αγορά και αν υπάρξει είμαι σίγουρος πως ο ΟΠΕΚ θα ανταποκριθεί,” τόνισε ο Yousfi σε συνέδριο IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates.
Ο υπουργός πρόσθεσε πως ο ΟΠΕΚ παρακολουθεί στενά την κατάσταση για ενδεχόμενες αλλαγές ωστόσο δεν βλέπει ακόμα κάποια ανάγκη για να δράσει, σημειώνοντας πως ο οργανισμός έχει τη δυνατότητα να αυξήσει την ημερήσια παραγωγή του κατά 6 εκατ. βαρέλια.Πηγή:www.capital.gr .-

~*Μπαίνει "πωλητήριο" στο αεροδρόμιο Καλαμάτας
ΣΤΗ ΛΙΣΤΑ ΓΙΑ ΙΔΙΩΤΙΚΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ
«Πωλητήριο» εντός του 2011 στα 40 περιφερειακά αεροδρόμια της χώρας, μεταξύ αυτών και της Καλαμάτας, με την κυβέρνηση ήδη να αναζητεί σύμβουλο ο οποίος θα αξιολογήσει τον τρόπο με τον οποίο θα προχωρήσει η ιδιωτικοποίηση των αερολιμένων χωρίς να δημιουργηθούν μονοπωλιακές καταστάσεις.
Όπως αναφέρεται σε ρεπορτάζ της εφημερίδας «Ημερησία», με στόχο στο τέλος του 2011 να έχει προχωρήσει η σχετική διαδικασία, ο σύμβουλος που θα επιλεγεί θα προτείνει τον τρόπο που θα ομαδοποιηθούν τα 40 περιφερειακά αεροδρόμια της χώρας και θα αναζητηθούν τα 2 δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ που υπολογίζεται ότι είναι αναγκαίοι πόροι για την αναβάθμισή τους.
Ο ιδιωτικός επενδυτής θα αναλάβει τη διοίκηση, τη λειτουργία, τη διαχείριση, την επέκταση, την ανάπτυξη, τη συντήρηση και την εκμετάλλευση, αλλά η ιδιοκτησία θα παραμείνει στο Δημόσιο.-

~* Μαραθόλακκα ...Σκουπίδια .,..:
Ανεβαίνει η Ram, αντιδρούν οι κάτοικοι
Τα διαδικαστικά, οι ασκήσεις επί χάρτου και ο «πόλεμος» δηλώσεων επί μέρες για την προσωρινή διαχείριση των απορριμμάτων στο Δήμο Καλαμάτας έφτασαν στο τέλος. Από μέρα σε μέρα, όπως όλες οι πληροφορίες συγκλίνουν, η Δημοτική Αρχή προχωρά στο επόμενο και πλέον δύσκολο βήμα, που είναι η μεταφορά, εγκατάσταση και λειτουργία του μηχανήματος της Ram στη «νέα Μαραθόλακκα». Αυτό, μάλιστα, μπορεί να γίνει ακόμη και σήμερα. Ήδη υπογράφηκε το σχετικό συμβόλαιο συνεργασίας με την εταιρεία.-

~* Απειλή παγετού για όλη τη Μεσσηνία ;
Στα χωράφια ξενύχτησαν οι αγρότες και θα ξενυχτήσουν και σήμερα ...
Τη νύχτα στα χωράφια ετοιμάζονταν να περάσουν χθες βράδυ οι αγρότες της Μεσσηνίας, λαμβάνοντας ό,τι μέτρα μπορούσαν προκειμένου να προστατέψουν τις καλλιέργειές τους από τις χαμηλές θερμοκρασίες. «Μετά το χαλάζι που έριξε την τελευταία φορά, δε μας μένουν και πολλά περιθώρια» μας είπε ο πρόεδρος του Αγροτικού Συνεταιρισμού Μεσσήνης Παναγιώτης Δουρούμης, αναφερόμενος στην πατάτα. «Ο αέρας φυσούσε από το πρωί και έχει ταλαιπωρήσει ήδη τα φυτά. -

~* Ζημιές στην Καλαμάτα και στις περισσότερες περιοχές του Νομού Μεσσηνίας :
Από τους ισχυρούς χθεσινούς ανέμους που άρχισαν χθές τη νύχτα ...:
Σημαντικές ήταν οι ζημιές που προκλήθηκαν σε όλη την έκταση του Δήμου Καλαμάτας, από τους ιδιαίτερα ισχυρούς ανέμους που έπνεαν στην περιοχή από τις 3.00 χθες τα ξημερώματα.Από νωρίς το πρωί Πυροσβεστική, Αστυνομία, Λιμεναρχείο, ΔΕΣΕ και Δήμος Καλαμάτας ήταν επί ποδός για την αντιμετώπιση των προβλημάτων. Το σημαντικότερο ήταν οι πτώσεις των δεκάδων δέντρων σε αρκετές περιοχές του δρόμου, τα οποία προκάλεσαν από διακοπή της κυκλοφορίας έως διακοπή της ηλεκτροδότησης. Οι επεμβάσεις των συνεργείων του Δήμου Καλαμάτας συνεχίζονταν και χθες το απόγευμα μέχρι να αποκατασταθούν όλες οι μικρές και οι μεγάλες ζημιές.-

~*Τριφυλία
Συνάντηση Μαλαπάνη-Κόλλια για λιμάνια, δρόμους
Ζητήματα που αφορούν στο λιμάνι της Κυπαρισσίας, το αλιευτικό καταφύγιο Μαράθου, αλλά και έργα της περιοχής, συζητήθηκαν χθες κατά τη σύσκεψη στο γραφείο του αντιπεριφερειάρχη Μεσσηνίας Χρήστου Μαλαπάνη με το δήμαρχο Τριφυλίας Κώστα Κόλλια, τον αντιδήμαρχο Παναγιώτη Τσίγγανο και στελέχη του Δήμου.-

~* Νέδουσα .... Καλοχρονιά και γονιμότητα
Πολλές και φέτος οι καρναβαλικές εκδηλώσεις στο Δήμο Καλαμάτας το τελευταίο τριήμερο της Αποκριάς και της Καθαράς Δευτέρας, με συμμετοχή εκατοντάδων πολιτών. Ωστόσο, το δρώμενο της Ευετηρίας στη Νέδουσα ξεχώρισε και φέτος με τον αρχέτυπο χαρακτήρα του και συγκέντρωσε επισκέπτες και βλέμματα.-

~* Περιφερειακό Συμβούλιο
Απορρίφθηκε η ένσταση, δεν αλλάζει η σύνθεσή του
Αναλλοίωτη παραμένει η δύναμη των παρατάξεων στο Περιφερειακό Συμβούλιο Πελοποννήσου, αφού, σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, απορρίφθηκε από το Διοικητικό Πρωτοδικείο η ένσταση που είχε καταθέσει ο συνδυασμός της «Αριστερής Αντικαπιταλιστικής Παρέμβασης του Μωριά» με επικεφαλής τον Παναγιώτη Κάτσαρη.Η ένσταση έγινε με βάση το άρθρο 139, από τα υπόλοιπα της α’ κατανομής και από το συνδυασμό του Π. Τατούλη. -

Αστυνομικός διευθυντής ο Β. Γεωργακόπουλος
Ο Μεσσήνιος και πολύ καλός γνώστης της Αστυνομικής Διεύθυνσης Μεσσηνίας, Βασίλης Γεωργακόπουλος, αναλαμβάνει ως αστυνομικός διευθυντής. Ο κ. Βασίλης Γεωργακόπουλος έχει επί χρόνια υπηρετήσει στην Αστυνομική Διεύθυνση Μεσσηνίας, ενώ τον τελευταίο χρόνο ήταν αστυνομικός διευθυντής Λακωνίας.-

~* Δήμος Καλαμάτας
Κτηριακή ανακατανομή για μείωση εξόδων
Σε αναδιάρθρωση της κτηριακής χωροταξίας των υπηρεσιών του προχωρά ο Δήμος Καλαμάτας, με κύριο και αποκλειστικό στόχο τη μείωση των λειτουργικών εξόδων και την ενίσχυση κάποιων νευραλγικών θέσεων στον τομέα παροχής υπηρεσιών προς τους πολίτες. Όπως τόνισε χθες ο δήμαρχος Καλαμάτας Παν. Νίκας, «μέχρι το τέλος Μαρτίου ο Δήμος Καλαμάτας θα έχει εγκαταλείψει όλους τους ενοικιαζόμενους χώρους σε μια προσπάθεια αυτό να μην αποβεί σε βάρος της ποιότητας της εργασίας των εργαζομένων, αλλά και της εξυπηρέτησης των πολιτών. Ο Δήμος Καλαμάτας δίνει περίπου 130.000 ευρώ το χρόνο σε ενοίκια και η στόχευση είναι στις 30 Μαρτίου αυτό το ποσό να μηδενιστεί. Ήδη έχουμε προχωρήσει σ’ ένα ευρύ πρόγραμμα και έχουμε ξενοικιάσει πολλά κτήρια.-

~* Μιά βδομάδα μετά το θάνατο του εκλεκτού συμπατριώτη μας από το Αρφαρά και καθηγητού Πανεπιστιμείου Σταύρου Ιερέα Ιωάν. Παπανικολάου πέρασε από τον αδόκητο και απρόσμενο θάνατό του ! Για άλλη μιά φορά αιωνία η μνήμη του ! στον αξέχαστο Αρφαραιο Α Ν Θ Ρ Ω Π Ο Σταύρο μας !!!!!!!!!!!!! H Σιωπή μας συνοδεύει τον πόνο και το πένθος των δικών του ανθρώπων , ολόψυχα , εγκάρδια και σε διάρκεια ....Stamatis

Washington is supposed to remain in denial until the dirty deed is done. When the US is finished, our fake representatives will all be handsomely rewarded under the table for basically ignoring everything American citizens want. Why else are there so few speaking up? The North American Union is the imminent result of this denial and that means bye, bye USA. Ron Paul is great but he needs a LOT of help to stop the plan. The NWO is putting the US out-of-business while our apparently dumb, helpless, or willfully brain-dead public watch Charlie Sheen nonsense on TV. Americans will be forced to give up our lifestyle and our rights while world-wide war and corporate criminals continue to destroy our world in the name of profit and the control of oil. The foreign policy of this country is and always was shameful. Soon the entire world will be in wars and the corporate profiteers will continue to make lots of cash at tax payer expense. That includes life and limb of innocents and soldiers in as many countries as we are involved in. The stock market soars while massive numbers of people die. The actions taken by our government should be sickening to every intelligent being on the planet. It does not matter what party you are into when political figures are in the pockets of Bankster and corporate cons. They are on the same side and that is not yours. Protest by word and action will be absolutely necessary to change anything. If you are not awake already, best wake up and get to it! We are running out of time; rapidly. Bruce Thornton points out the worldwide Great Recession that began in 2008 has taken much of the bloom off the European Union rose. These days, the enthusiastic pronouncements of recent years, when the EU was touted as a bold new experiment in living, one leading the way into a new era, sound premature if not delusional. Equally premature have been the prophecies of Europe's future dominance in the New European Century, or the prognostications that the the twenty-first century might yet belong to Europe, or the argument that the European way is the best hope in an insecure age.Thornton notes Greece's near-default on its sovereign debt, the humiliating multibillion-dollar International Monetary Fund contribution to the EU's near-trillion-dollar bailout fund, and the looming similar economic crises threatening other EU states like Ireland, Spain, and Portugal have laid bare the contradictions long underlying the EU economic project of greater integration through a common currency and centralized policies, putting at risk its very existence. This economic failure complements the EU's unmet geopolitical ambitions. Given its limited military capabilities, the EU has been unable to project global power and fulfill its promise to be an important "pole" in the "multipolar" world that was presumably created by the collapse of the Soviet Union.Yet despite these failures of the EU project — greater prosperity, peace, and international influence through increased economic and political unification — many leftists in America continue to pursue policies, both domestic and foreign, that are moving the United States closer to the EU paradigm. Indeed, many on the Left approve of the European model as something to emulate. Partly, this reflects the place Europe has traditionally held in the imagination of some Americans. Like the Yankee ingenues in a Henry James novel, they have admired the Old World of sophistication, culture, and civilization that contrasts with the New World of crude, go-getting, frontier brashness. But these days, this admiration more fundamentally reflects the belief that Europe provides a more humane and sophisticated set of social and political values.In the presidential election of 2004, for example, Democratic candidate Senator John Kerry, who speaks French and spent childhood vacations in France, was touted as the candidate who, sharing the European distrust of force and preference for the management of crises through transnational institutions, could be more effective in relating to our European allies. In the words of French writer Bernard-Henri Levy, Kerry is a European at heart. Thus, as President, we were told, Senator Kerry could undo the damage done by the unilateralist, Euroskeptic George Bush. Bush's critics identified him as that most American — and despised — of cultural icons: a cowboy who, it was erroneously reported, had never traveled to Europe.In domestic policy as well, some Americans look to Europe for guidance on issues such as homosexuality, affirmative action, and the death penalty — indeed, in some recent Supreme Court decisions, justices have cited the European Charter of Fundamental Rights and rulings of the European Court of Human Rights in support of their decisions. Many also tout the European dolce vita lifestyle as a more humane and fulfilling way to live compared to workaholic, money-grubbing Americans. New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, for example, believes Americans have a lot to learn from the French about family values — an opinion Claire Berlinski calls laughable given that the French are creating fewer and fewer families and that almost 15,000 elderly French in 2003 died during a heat wave, their bodies chilled in warehouses while their children vacationed on the Riviera.On many other issues, liberals in general align with the same values and ideals that underlie the European model, as conservative Jonah Goldberg indicated when he complained that President Bill Clinton thinks like a European. As Timothy Garton Ash put it, Blue America often turns out to be a European shade of pink. On several of the key social issues, American Democrats seem to be closer to Europeans than they are to Republicans.Thornton points out the Europeanization of America has intensified under the Obama Administration. Actions like the quasi-nationalization of General Motors and the increased government regulation of the finance industry have intensified state control of the economy. Likewise, the recently passed health care legislation moves this country closer to the EU social welfare model in which the state attempts not just to insulate its citizens from the tragic contingencies of existence, but also to provide them with leisure, comfort, and protection against the consequences of their own bad choices.In foreign policy as well, President Obama has embraced the EU postmodern view of interstate relations, which is distrustful of military force and looks instead to diplomacy, multilateralism, and transnational institutions to create global order. Barack Obama explicitly campaigned on the need "to reinvigorate American diplomacy," as he put it in a Foreign Affairs article, and "to rebuild the alliances, partnerships, and institutions necessary to confront common threats and enhance common security. Hence, as President, he has apologized abroad for the alleged militarist and unilateralist sins committed by his cowboy predecessor and has extended his hand repeatedly and so far fruitlessly to the mullahs in Iran in order to prevent them from developing nuclear weapons.Thornton dispels the illusions of those who have fallen for the European temptation by highlighting the failure of the EU project. The EU project suffers from several problems that the Europeans have so far been unable to solve: economic sclerosis, unaffordable entitlements, demographic collapse, and a large unassimilated Muslim population. Apart from the pragmatic issue that many of these EU ideals have so far been ineffective, if not dangerous, the EU model is predicated on philosophical assumptions about human nature and the human good that are contrary to those that underlay the American Founding and alien to the American experience. The greater integration of the 27 EU member-states' economies, most visibly evident in the common currency used by the 17 states of the eurozone, has not overcome the impediments to economic growth and development caused by dirigiste government policies.Though still collectively an economic powerhouse, Europe's economies for the past two decades have been troubled by low rates of growth, chronic unemployment, and economic sclerosis compared to the U.S. economy. Whether the issue is per capita GDP, productivity, high tax burdens, percentage of working-age citizens employed, research and development, worker-friendly requirements for wages and benefits, impediments to entrepreneurs, early generous retirement, or regulations concerning hiring and firing, EU policies impede economic growth and vitality and leave Europe less competitive and resilient than the more dynamic economies of the U.S. and China.It is no surprise that the EU states most in economic danger — Greece, Portugal, and Spain — are ranked at the bottom of the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business survey of 27 Western economies (the U.S. ranks second). The comparative impact of the current global recession illustrates this disparity: While the euro zone GDP declined 4.2 percent in 2009, U.S GDP went down 2.6 percent. Nor has the EU's economic recovery kept pace with that of the U.S.: GDP in the EU increased 1.8 percent in 2010, and GDP in the U.S. increased 2.9 percent.The philosophical ideas of the EU reflect the continental Enlightenment notion that a universal, essentially rational human nature is progressing away from the irrational superstitions and traditions such as religion that in the past defined and disordered human life and society. This progress has been spurred by the growth of knowledge, which has created the human sciences such as economics, psychology, and sociology. These sciences in turn generate techniques for reorganizing and improving social, political, and economic institutions in order to create peace, equality, and justice and to liberate people from traditional superstitions so that they can recognize and act upon their own best interests and achieve happiness.This vision creates what French political philosopher Chantal Delsol calls techno-politics — top-down government by technical elites who craft policies that intervene in society and the economy in order to mitigate the harsh inequalities of free-market capitalism through government regulations and welfare entitlements. The goal will be to lessen and eventually eliminate the irrational nationalist or religious prejudices and intolerance that foment social disorder and injustice. Hence the intrusive and extensive economic regulations of the EU; the generous social welfare benefits now redefined as rights by the EU's Charter of Fundamental Rights; the legally codified and enforced demands for tolerance, respect, and inclusion. These radical Enlightenment ideals underlying the EU's domestic policies inform its foreign affairs behavior as well. Given the universal progress from irrational restraints on people to rational techniques for managing and improving human life, there is a global harmony of interests, because all peoples desire the same ends as Westerners: peace, prosperity, and political freedom. Once educated to these true interests, all peoples will realize that these goods can best be obtained not by force and the pursuit of parochial nationalist interests, but by networks of interstate agreements that adjudicate disputes rationally and subject the behavior of nations to clearly defined international rules and protocols enforced by transnational organizations, allowing peace and prosperity to flourish. Then war will give way to diplomacy: rational discussion, negotiation, respect and tolerance for the other side's demands, and a mutual desire to adjudicate grievances without the destruction and suffering that attend the use of force — what the Europeans call soft power.Just taken on their own terms, these assumptions about human nature and progress are dubious at best and hard to support by the empirical evidence of history. Despite the astonishing explosion of scientific knowledge over the past two centuries, no laws governing human social, political, and economic behavior akin to the laws of physics or mathematics that can justify the intrusive reorganization of society by elites wielding techniques reflecting those laws have been discovered. Every attempt to do so over the past two centuries has ended in bloody failure and tyranny, for such meddling based on abstract theories founders on the sheer complexity and quirky unpredictability of human nature and its irrational passions and stubborn willfulness.No more convincing are the various schemes for creating international order that are predicated on the alleged harmony of interests obscured by religious, tribal, or nationalist superstitions. The peoples of the world pursue multiple goods, some of them incompatible with those prized by the West. Western-style political freedom, for example, may conflict with the duty to obey God and his commands, as Islamists like Sayyid Qutb, the Ayatollah Khomeini, and Osama bin Laden believe.Nor is it obvious that religion is destined to wither away as civilization progresses and increasingly secularizes, an idea based on the dubious materialist assumption that religion is merely a Marxist opiate or a Freudian illusion rather than an expression of humanity's spiritual needs. Indeed, our current age of wondrous technological sophistication and economic development has also seen a global explosion in the growth of religious fervor.Thornton points out nationalism remains a powerful locus of communal identity and cohesion even in Europe, where public interest in the EU is low as evidenced by the anemic voter turnout for EU parliamentary elections. As we have seen during the current global recession and the bickering between Germany and Greece over funding the latter's bailout, at times of crisis, even the EU nations look first to their own individual economic or security interests, as well as the demands of their voters, rather than to the needs or lofty principles of the supranational EU.The freakish government of Greece, October-18 mafia, robs computers and terrorizes the blogosphere! It becomes clear that – because of structural deficiencies – Obama's fiscal stimulus cannot rescue the U.S. economy. It stimulates employment more in China and India than in America;5. global economic growth will continue to depend on new dynamic economies in Asia and Latin America. The BRIC countries will grow fast and their catching-up process will continue. Last week, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Congressman Ron Paul, the best politician of America, had the opportunity to raise some of American interventionism around the world.Many observers claim that the recent overthrow of governments in northern Africa and the Middle East will result in more liberty for individuals across those regions. Ron Paul sincerely hopes this proves to be true, but history is replete with revolutions that began as a cry for freedom against oppressive governments but ended badly. There are no guarantees that Egyptians, Tunisians, or others will be better off after these heralded regime changes. Ron Paul points out that we do know, however, that these conflicts in Africa and the Middle East can be made worse if the U.S. government attempts to intervene and support certain candidates or factions. Such intervention would not further US interests or win us new friends, but in fact would undermine the legitimacy of any government that may emerge after the end of old regimes. Just as we would resent and reject any political force that came to power here with the sponsorship of a foreign government, Egyptians, Tunisians, Libyans, and others are not likely to take kindly to what they view as one US puppet being replaced by another US puppet. It is ironic, but the US government's endless promotion of democracy overseas actually distorts and undermines democracy in targeted nations. The involvement of a foreign power often undermines true self-determination.Ron Paul notes that radicals who understand this may use rising resentment and anti-Americanism as leverage to gain power, thus defeating the stated purpose of US involvement in the first place. Ron Paul has never understood how the US government justifies subsidizing a newspaper or political party abroad in the name of promoting independence and pluralism. It makes no sense. Unfortunately it seems to Ron Paul that the administration has learned nothing from recent events in the Mediterranean region. Secretary Clinton emphasized several times at the committee hearing that nothing is off the table with regard to a US response to internal civil unrest in Libya. Since when is it our obligation to use political pressure or even military force to solve every problem overseas? Washington is currently buzzing with talk ofœno-fly zones and even a land invasion of Libya to aid rebel groups seeking to overthrow the Gadaffi regime. Some military leaders, including Defense Secretary Robert Gates, have rightly warned the more enthusiastic interventionists that such military operations can be enormously costly both financially and in lives.Marilizardism has metastasized in many Mediterranean countries. Merciless Marilizard terrorizes Graecoblogosphere. Accusing dissident bloggers of treason, Graecokleptocrats have manufactured a blood libel in cyberspace, which in turn may incite hatred and violence. The freakish government of Graecokleptocracy, October-18 mafia, is the only government on Earth which robs the computers of its citizens! Infamous CCU is the brutal arm of the government of Graecokleptocracy which terrorizes the cyberspace, robbing computers at gunpoint, perjuring, jailing dissident bloggers, and gagging the truth. The 2012 budget request from the administration for international affairs, which is code forœforeign aid, is two and a half times larger than it was just nine years ago! As our economy shrinks at home, our obligations increase abroad. As our infrastructure crumbles at home, we continue to spend billions expanding infrastructure in places like Afghanistan and Iraq. If the interventionists have their way, no doubt we will be soon pay to reconstruct the infrastructure we destroy in a Libyan military operation. It does not take a genius to see that we are going broke, but Washington remains in denial and intent on business as usual.
