ΚΑΤΕΠΕΙΓΟΥΣΑ ΑΝΑΓΚΗ ΓΙΑ ΣΤΗΡΙΞΗ ΟΙΚΟΓΕΝΕΙΑΣ ΜΙΚΡΗΣ ΑΣΘΕΝΟΥΣ Posted: 28 Apr 2010 12:35 PM PDT Αγγελούδι χρειάζεται τη βοήθεια μας Σε κρίσιμη κατάσταση νοσηλεύεται στο νοσοκομείο παίδων Πεντέλης ένα κοριτσάκι πέντε ετών από τον Πύργο Ηλείας. Πρόκειται για μαθήτρια νηπιαγωγείου που πριν από περίπου ένα μήνα διαγνώστηκε πως πάσχει από καρκίνο. Στην περιοχή που μένει δεν υπάρχουν μονάδες εντατικής θεραπείας για καρκινοπαθείς και γι' αυτό το μικρό κοριτσάκι μεταφέρθηκε αμέσως στην Αθήνα. Πρόκειται για μία αλβανικής καταγωγής οικογένεια που μένει χρόνια στην περιοχή του Πύργου. Ο πατέρας τον τελευταίο χρόνο δεν έχει κάποια σταθερή δουλειά, ενώ αυτό το διάστημα πηγαινοέρχεται για να μπορέσει να κάνει κάποια δουλειά του ποδαριού, ώστε να έχουν κάποιο έστω ελάχιστο εισόδημα. Η μητέρα από την άλλη δεν έχει φύγει λεπτό από το πλευρό της μικρής της κόρης, με αποτέλεσμα να μην μπορεί να εργαστεί ούτε αυτή. Πρόσφατα η μικρή υποβλήθηκε σε εγχείρηση αφαίρεσης όγκου, ενώ μέχρι σήμερα υποβάλλεται σε θεραπεία. Οι γονείς της δεν μπορούν να τα βγάλουν πέρα οικονομικά και γι' αυτό ο Σύλλογος Δασκάλων και Νηπιαγωγών Πύργου κάνουν έκκληση σε όποιον μπορεί να βοηθήσει οικονομικά την οικογένεια να επικοινωνήσει με τον κ. Ωραίοι Έλληνες: Νίκος και Ευσταθία Καρυστινού Δώρο ζωής από το "Αγγελούδι" τους Posted: 28 Apr 2010 12:37 PM PDT Δώρο ζωής έλαβαν έξι παιδάκια από το "Αγγελούδι" από το Αλιβέρι που έφυγε από τη ζωή, πριν λίγες ημέρες όταν έπεσε από το ποδήλατο και χτύπησε σοβαρά. Ο μικρός Ανέστης Καρυστινός στις 16 Απριλίου χτύπησε με αποτέλεσμα να χάσει τη ζωή του, όμως οι γονείς του μέσα στον πόνο τους όταν έμαθαν πως ο γιός τους είναι κλινικά νεκρός, πήραν τη μεγάλη απόφαση να δωρίσουν τα όργανά του σε έξι άλλα παιδάκια που περίμεναν ένα θαύμα για να ζήσουν… Το μεγαλείο της ψυχής του Νίκου και της Ευσταθίας Καρυστινού από το Αλιβέρι έγινε παράδειγμα για όλους, αφού κατάφεραν μέσα στον απέραντο πόνο τους από το χαμό του Ανέστη, να κάνουν το σωστό και να δώσουν ζωή σε άλλα παιδάκια που οι ελπίδες για ζωή τους τελείωναν. Ωραίοι Έλληνες: Καλλιόπη Κουλλιά - Δώρισε το σπίτι της για να δει χαρούμενα παιδιά Posted: 28 Apr 2010 12:21 PM PDT Ονειρεύεται να δει το σπίτι της να «πλημμυρίζει από παιδικά γέλια, χαρούμενες φωνές και όμορφα παιχνίδια», γεμάτο με λιλιπούτειους μαθητές του νηπιαγωγείου. Ο λόγος για την κ. Καλλιόπη Κουλλιά, μία παραδοσιακή 77χρονη νησιώτισσα από την Κάλυμνο, που ασχολείται με τη δημιουργία τοπικών φορεσιών. Μαζί με τον άντρα της, σφουγγαράς στο επάγγελμα, έχουν βαπτίσει συνολικά 25 παιδιά, ενώ καθημερινά αποδεικνύουν έμπρακτα πόσο πολύ αγαπούν τους μικρούς τους φίλους. Η τελευταία πράξη αγάπης είναι η πρόσφατη απόφαση της κ. Κουλλιά να δωρίσει το σπίτι της στον Δήμο Καλυμνίων, ώστε να κατασκευαστεί εκεί ένα νηπιαγωγείο, που θα στεγάσει τα παιδάκια που ξεκινούν τη ζωή τους ως μαθητές. Πίσω, όμως, από το χαρούμενο πρόσωπο της 77χρονης, η οποία απολαμβάνει το παιχνίδι μαζί τους, βρίσκεται μια προσωπική τραγωδία. Η ίδια έχασε τον γιο της, όταν εκείνος ήταν μόλις 22 ετών, ενώ ο άντρας της τραυματίστηκε στον βυθό και έμεινε ανάπηρος. Αφορμή για τη δωρεά της ήταν ένα όνειρο που είδε με τον εκλιπόντα γιο της, και θεώρησε ότι η κίνησή της αυτή θα του έδινε χαρά. Λίγες μέρες αργότερα, ήρθε σε επικοινωνία με τον Δήμο Καλυμνίων, ο οποίος ρύθμισε τις λεπτομέρειες, και πριν από λίγες μέρες έγινε και η τελετή υπογραφής των συμβολαιογραφικών πράξεων, σε μια όμορφη τελετή. Από την πλευρά τους, οι κάτοικοι του τόπου δηλώνουν ευγνώμονες για τη δωρεά που θα καλύψει τις τεράστιες ανάγκες της περιοχής. Η κ. Ελεγεία σε μια ματωμένη Πρωτομαγιά Posted: 30 Apr 2010 12:39 PM PDT Ο «Επιτάφιος» του Γιάννη Ρίτσου Πρωτομαγιά των λουλουδιών Από την αρχαιότητα πολλοί λαοί γιόρταζαν το μήνα Μάιο με τελετές που συνδέονταν με την ευφορία των αγρών, την ανθοφορία και το φτάσιμο της άνοιξης. Έθιμα που διασώζει η Λαογραφία ή επιβιώνουν έως την εποχή μας δείχνουν ότι στη λαϊκή αντίληψη ο μήνας Μάιος συμβόλιζε τη νίκη του καλοκαιριού κατά του χειμώνα, την αναγέννηση και τελικά την επικράτηση της ζωής επί του θανάτου. Η εργατική Πρωτομαγιά Η διεθνής ιστορική συγκυρία, με το πέρασμα των χρόνων, έδωσε και μια άλλη διάσταση στην πρώτη μέρα του Μάη, καθώς η ημέρα αυτή συνδέθηκε με εργατικούς και συνδικαλιστικούς αγώνες. Πρωτομαγιά του 1886: Στις ΗΠΑ 700.000 εργαζόμενοι κήρυξαν γενική απεργία. Βασικό αίτημα το 8ωρο εργασίας, 8ωρο μόρφωσης και ψυχαγωγίας και 8ωρο ύπνου. 100.000 απεργοί εργάτες διαδήλωναν στο Σικάγο, όταν δέχτηκαν την αστυνομική βία: ο απολογισμός φρικτός. Η πλατεία Haymarket στο Σικάγο βάφτηκε στο αίμα, ενώ πολλές ήταν οι συλλήψεις και εκτελέσεις. Ήταν η πρώτη ματωμένη Πρωτομαγιά. Το 1890 γιορτάστηκε για πρώτη φορά η Πρωτομαγιά ως ημέρα αφιερωμένη στις εργατικές διεκδικήσεις. Την πρωτομαγιά του 1891 η απεργία των υφαντουργών στη Γαλλία σημαδεύτηκε με ταραχές και νεκρούς διαδηλωτές. Τα επόμενα χρόνια οι εκδηλώσεις για την Πρωτομαγιά γίνονταν εκτός ωρών εργασίας στην αρχή, ενώ πολύ αργότερα καθιερώθηκε αργία για την ημέρα αυτή. Η Πρωτομαγιά στην Ελλάδα Η πρώτη πρωτομαγιάτικη συγκέντρωση στην Ελλάδα έγινε το 1892 από το Σοσιαλιστικό Σύλλογο του Καλλέργη. Το 1894, στην αντίστοιχη συγκέντρωση, γίνονται πολλές συλλήψεις, ακόμα και του σοσιαλιστή Σταύρου Καλλέργη. Το 1922, όταν πια μεγάλες μάζες εργατών έχουν συγκεντρωθεί στην Ελλάδα, μετά τη Μικρασιατική Καταστροφή, γιορτάστηκε η Πρωτομαγιά στον Πειραιά, στον Ηλεκτρικό. Το 1924 απαγορεύτηκαν οι συγκεντρώσεις, υπήρξε 1 νεκρός εργάτης και 12 τραυματίες, αλλά η Πρωτομαγιά τελικά γιορτάστηκε με ομιλία στην πλατεία Κοτζιά, μπροστά στο Δημαρχείο. Το 1929 η κυβέρνηση Βενιζέλου έχοντας ψηφίσει το «Ιδιώνυμο» προχώρησε σε 400 συλλήψεις, κατάληψη γραφείων εργατικών συνδικάτων και κατασχέσεις εφημερίδας. Η ματωμένη Πρωτομαγιά του 1936 Το Μάη του 1936 στη Θεσσαλονίκη μια αρχική απεργία των καπνεργατών πήρε διαστάσεις και έγινε πανεργατική. Μέσα σε λίγες μέρες το απεργιακό κύμα είχε εξαπλωθεί σε Ξάνθη, Αγρίνιο, Κομοτηνή, Σέρρες και Ελευσίνα. Ο Ι. Μεταξάς σε επίσκεψή του στη Θεσσαλονίκη είναι απόλυτος: οι Αρχές πρέπει να χτυπήσουν τους διαδηλωτές στο ψαχνό. 9 Μάη: στη διασταύρωση Εγνατίας και Βενιζέλου από τις σφαίρες των οργάνων της τάξης πέφτει νεκρός ο οδηγός Τάσος Τούσης. Οι διαδηλωτές εξοργισμένοι τοποθετούν το νεκρό πάνω σε μια πόρτα και τον περιφέρουν στους δρόμους της πόλης σε μια ιδιότυπη «λιτανεία» καταγγελίας, διαμαρτυρίας και αντίστασης. Οι νεκροί θα φτάσουν τους 12 και οι τραυματίες τους 300. Στο σημείο της συμπλοκής θα στηθεί αργότερα το Μνημείο του Καπνεργάτη. Η μάνα του νεκρού Τάσου Τούση, που πληροφορήθηκε τα γεγονότα, τρέχει, πέφτει πάνω στο νεκρό παιδί της και μοιρολογεί. Την επόμενη μέρα ο «Ριζοσπάστης» δημοσιεύει τη φωτογραφία με τη μάνα που θρηνεί το νεκρό παλικάρι, ενώ γύρω της απλώνεται μια απέραντη ερημιά. Ο ποιητής Γιάννης Ρίτσος Πρωτομαγιά του 1909 ήρθε στον κόσμο, στη Μονεμβασιά, ο Γιάννης Ρίτσος, ο ποιητής της Ρωμιοσύνης, ο ραψωδός κάθε ματωμένης Πρωτομαγιάς στον τόπο μας και στον κόσμο. Ο ποιητής ο πραγματικά λαϊκός, ο «στρατευμένος» στα βάσανα και στις έγνοιες του απλού ανθρώπου. Απλός και ανθρώπινος, και ο ίδιος, στάθηκε ανυπότακτος σε ό,τι θεωρούσε αδικία, βαρβαρότητα ή ευτέλεια, ασυμβίβαστος σε ό,τι ήταν το όραμά του και το κοινωνικό πιστεύω του. Ένας άλλος μεγάλος ποιητής μας, ο Κωστής Παλαμάς, εντυπωσιασμένος από τις συνθέσεις του Ρίτσου, θα αναγνωρίσει την αξία του λέγοντας: «…Γλήγορο αργοφλοίσβιμα της γαλάζιας πλάσης να παραμερίσουμε για να περάσεις…». 10 Μάη του ’36, ο Ρίτσος βλέπει στην εφημερίδα τη φωτογραφία της τραγικής μάνας, διαβάζει τις περιγραφές των αιματηρών συγκρούσεων και συγκλονίζεται. Όπως θα γράψει αργότερα, κλείστηκε στη σοφίτα του και κλαίγοντας σαν παιδί θα συνθέσει τον «Επιτάφιο». 11 Μάη, το ποίημα δημοσιεύεται στο «Ριζοσπάστη» και την ίδια ώρα εκδίδεται σε 10.000 αντίτυπα, ρεκόρ για την εποχή.Τόσο γρήγορα εξαντλήθηκε το βιβλίο που η δικτατορία της 4ης Αυγούστου δεν βρήκε παρά μόνο 250 αντίτυπα, τα οποία καίγονται στους στύλους του Ολυμπίου Διός μαζί με άλλα «ανατρεπτικά» βιβλία. Ο «Επιτάφιος» Όπως θα πει και ο ίδιος ο ποιητής, ήταν προετοιμασμένος, εξοπλισμένος για τη σύνθεση αυτή από τα παιδικά του χρόνια. «Ήταν έτοιμος ο λαϊκός στίχος, ο δεκαπεντασύλλαβος, από το κρητικό θέατρο, την Ερωφίλη και τον Ερωτόκριτο και από του Σολωμού τους «Ελεύθερους Πολιορκημένους». Ο «Επιτάφιος», μια σύνθεση από 20 τραγούδια (ποιήματα), από 8 ομοιοκατάληκτα δίστιχα το καθένα και 9 δίστιχα, τα δύο τελευταία, από πολλούς θεωρήθηκε συνέχεια του δημοτικού μας τραγουδιού και του ρεμπέτικου. Σε πρώτο πλάνο ο ανθρώπινος πόνος, η πανανθρώπινη Μάνα, η χήρα και φτωχιά που θρηνεί τον μονάκριβό της και μαζί της και ο ποιητής συμπάσχει, διαμαρτύρεται για την ανεπίτρεπτη επέμβαση στη ζωή των απλών, απροστάτευτων ανθρώπων. Ο Θάνατος (Η συνειδητοποίηση από τη Μάνα) (Λόγια, τρόποι, κινήσεις που παραπέμπουν στο Δημοτικό τραγούδι ή σε μανιάτικο μοιρολόι) «Γιε μου, σπλάχνο των σπλάχνων μου, καρδούλα της καρδιάς μου, πουλάκι της φτωχιάς αυλής, ανθέ της ερημιάς μου… Πού πέταξε τ' αγόρι μου, πού πήγε, πού μ' αφήνει χωρίς πουλάκι το κλουβί χωρίς νερό η κρήνη. Πώς κλείσαν τα ματάκια σου και δεν θωρείς που κλαίω και δεν σαλεύεις δεν γρικάς τα που πικρά σου λέω…» Το νεκρό σώμα: (ο έπαινος προς το νεκρό) «… Μαλλιά σγουρά που πάνω τους τα δάχτυλα περνούσα τις νύχτες που κοιμόσουνα και πλάι σου ξαγρυπνούσα, φρύδι μου, γαϊτανόφρυδο και κοντυλογραμμένο, καμάρα που το βλέμμα μου κούρνιαζε αναπαμένο, μάτια γλαρά που μέσα τους αντίφεγγαν τα μάκρη πρωινού ουρανού, και πάσκιζα μην τα θαμπώσει δάκρυ, χείλι μου μοσκομύριστο που ως λάλαγες ανθίζαν λιθάρια και ξερόδεντρα κι αηδόνια φτερουγίζαν…» Ο Θρήνος «…Μέρα Μαγιού μου μίσεψες μέρα Μαγιού σε χάνω άνοιξη, γιε, που αγάπαγες κι ανέβαινες απάνω στο λιακωτό και κοίταζες και δίχως να χορταίνεις άρμεγες με τα μάτια σου το φως της οικουμένης. Και με το δάχτυλο απλωτό μου τά΄δειχνες ένα ένα Τα όσα γλυκά, τα όσα καλά κι αχνά και ροδισμένα Και μου ιστορούσες με φωνή γλυκιά ζεστή κι αντρίκια τόσα όσα μήτε του γιαλού δεν φτάνουν τα χαλίκια. Και μου 'λεγες πως όλ' αυτά τα ωραία θα ’ναι δικά μας και τώρα εσβήστης κι έσβησε το φέγγος κι η φωτιά μας…» Η Ύβρις (Η κορυφαία στιγμή της οργής, καθώς η Μάνα στρέφεται προς το Θεό) «…Ω Παναγιά μου, αν ήσουνα, καθώς εγώ, μητέρα, βοήθεια στο γιο μου θάστελνες τον Άγγελο από πέρα. Κι, αχ, Θε μου, Θε μου, αν ήσουν Θεός κι αν είμασταν παιδιά σου θα πόναγες καθώς εγώ, τα δόλια πλάσματά σου. Κι αν ήσουν δίκιος, δίκαια θα μοίραζες την πλάση, κάθε πουλί, κάθε παιδί να φάει και να χορτάσει. Γιε μου, καλά μου τάλεγε το γνωστικό σου αχείλι κάθε φορά που ορμήνευε, κάθε φορά που εμίλει: Εμεί ταγίζουμε ζωή στο χέρι : περιστέρι, κ' εμείς ούτ’ ένα ψίχουλο δεν έχουμε στο χέρι…» Ο μετασχηματισμός - η Ανάσταση «…Κόσμος περνά και με σκουντά, στρατός και με πατάει κι εμέ το μάτι ουδέ γυρνά κι ουδέ σε παρατάει Και δες, μ΄ανασηκώνουνε, χιλιάδες γιους ξανοίγω, Μα, γιόκα μου, απ΄το πλάγι σου δε δύνουμαι να φύγω. Τώρα οι σημαίες σε ντύσανε. Παιδί μου εσύ κοιμήσου, Κι εγώ τραβάω στ΄αδέρφια σου και παίρνω τη φωνή σου. Ανάμεσά τους, γιόκα μου, θωρώ σε αναστημένο, Το θώρι σου στο θώρι τους μυριοζωγραφισμένο. Γιε μου, στ΄αδέρφια σου τραβώ και σμίγω την οργή μου, Σου πήρα το ντουφέκι σου, κοιμήσου εσύ πουλί μου…» Ο «Επιτάφιος» του Γιάννη Ρίτσου και η μελοποίησή του Ο «Επιτάφιος» αποτελεί ένα λαϊκό μοιρολόι. Ο 15σύλλαβος του δημοτικού μας τραγουδιού, άρτιος και εδώ, οι λέξεις απλές, πολύπαθες, δοκιμασμένες από τα άμεσα βιώματα του ποιητή, υπηρετούν το μοιρολόι της μάνας. Ο Ρίτσος ταυτίζεται με τον πόνο της μάνας, περνά μέσα από εξάρσεις και ταλαντώσεις υποκειμενικού πόνου σε μια αντικειμενικοποίηση: πίσω από τη μάνα που θρηνεί το μοναχογιό της υπάρχει η Πανανθρώπινη Μάνα, η αιώνια θλιμμένη για τα πάθη του Λαού. Ανασύροντας ο ποιητής στην επιφάνεια καταγραμμένες και επεξεργασμένες ήδη συλλογικές μνήμες, ανυψώνει το μοιρολόι της μάνας σε ισχυρή κατάφαση ζωής, αλλά και σε μανιφέστο ταξικής συνειδητοποίησης και μοχλό ταξικής πάλης. Ο Ρίτσος και ο Θεοδωράκης Ο Μίκης Θεοδωράκης σπούδαζε στο Κονσερβατόριο στο Παρίσι, όταν το 1958 έλαβε από το Γιάννη Ρίτσο τον «Επιτάφιο», στην οριστική του μορφή, με τα 162 δίστιχα, όπως υπήρχαν στη δεύτερη έκδοση που είχε γίνει λίγο πριν, το Δεκέμβρη του 1956. Η πνευματική και ιδιαίτερα η μουσική ζωή στο Παρίσι τον έχει απογοητεύσει και ο θρύλος της δυτικής μουσικής έχει διαλυθεί γι’ αυτόν. Στόχος του, όπως λέει, ήταν να δημιουργήσει «μουσικές τοιχογραφίες», που να τις νιώθει ο λαός, να τις λογαριάζει για κάτι εντελώς δικό του. Ο «Επιτάφιος» συγκλονίζει το Θεοδωράκη με τη στιχουργική του δύναμη, με τη μεγαλόπνοη πνοή του, με την ισχυρή κατάφαση ζωής και την αναμέτρηση με το θάνατο, ενάντια στη λήθη. Μελοποίησε αμέσως 8 από τα ποιήματα και έστειλε από ένα αντίγραφο στο Ρίτσο, στο Χατζιδάκι και στο Βύρωνα Σάμιο, γιατρό και προσωπικό του φίλο. Η πρώτη ηχογράφηση έγινε τον Αύγουστο του 1960, με το Χατζιδάκι στην ενορχήστρωση και διεύθυνση, με ορχήστρα ελαφράς μουσικής και με ερμηνεύτρια που είχε επιλέξει ο ίδιος, τη Νάνα Μούσχουρη. Ο Μίκης δεν έμεινε ευχαριστημένος από το αποτέλεσμα: «ήταν ωραίο ελληνικό τραγούδι, αλλά προς το ελαφρό… Εγώ όμως ήθελα να πάρω τη ρίζα και η ρίζα για μένα ήταν το λαϊκό τραγούδι μαζί με τους εκφραστές του, το μπουζούκι και το λαϊκό τραγουδιστή. Αυτό ήταν μια πρόκληση και προς την Αριστερά και προς την ιντελιγκέντσια της εποχής…». Με αμηχανία είχε αντιμετωπίσει αυτή την εκτέλεση και ο ποιητής Ρίτσος, που κάπως αλλιώς είχε φανταστεί τη μελοποίηση του έργου του. Ο Μίκης ήθελε μια καθαρά λαϊκή φωνή, που να γίνει η συνισταμένη των φωνών όλων των ανθρώπων, στο γιαπί, στο δρόμο, στην αγορά, στο Πανεπιστήμιο. Αγνοώντας τις αντιδράσεις της δισκογραφικής εταιρίας Columbia που δε συμφωνούσε με την επιλογή του Μπιθικώτση, ο Μίκης τον επιλέγει ως τραγουδιστή, αρχίζουν με εντατικό ρυθμό τις πρόβες και με την τεράστια συμβολή του Μανώλη Χιώτη, προκύπτει ένα έργο καταπληκτικό: Μακριά από το λυρισμό της Χατζιδακικής εκδοχής και την αβρή εκτέλεση της Μούσχουρη, αποδίδεται με μοναδική λεβεντιά και παλικαριά ο σπαραγμός της μάνας μπροστά στην άδικη δολοφονία του μοναχογιού, ο πόνος μπροστά στο τετελεσμένο γεγονός, που μετατρέπεται όμως σε ισχυρή κατάφαση ζωής, σε έλλειψη ηττοπάθειας και σε προσκλητήριο αγώνα και κοινής δράσης. Η δεύτερη αυτή ηχογράφηση έγινε το Σεπτέμβρη του 1960, με το Γρηγόρη Μπιθικώτση και με το μπουζούκι του Μανώλη Χιώτη. Σε παράσταση στο θέατρο «Ακροπόλ» παρουσιάστηκαν και οι δυο εκτελέσεις, πρώτα του Χατζιδάκι και μετά του Θεοδωράκη. Ο καθένας τους προλόγισε και επιχειρηματολόγησε για τη δική του εκδοχή. Όλα τα έντυπα της εποχής συμμετείχαν στο γεγονός με κριτικές της μιας ή της άλλης άποψης. Σύμφωνα με άλλη εκδοχή (2) ο Λαμπρόπουλος της Columbia κάλεσε από το Παρίσι το Μίκη ως αντίπαλο δέος του Μάνου, διαθέτοντάς του συγχρόνως τους Μπιθικώτση και Χιώτη, οι οποίοι συνέβαλαν τελικά στην επιτυχία της δεύτερης αυτής εκτέλεσης. Η άποψη αυτή, πέρα από το ότι αδικεί το Μίκη και τη μουσική του παιδεία, δεν έχει βάση, καθώς δεν υπάρχουν ουσιαστικές διαφορές στη δομή των τραγουδιών μεταξύ της πρώτης και δεύτερης εκτέλεσης, παρά μόνο στην ενορχήστρωση. Απλά, η μια είναι λυρική και επιθαλάμια, η άλλη λαϊκή και στιβαρή. Άρα, η επιτυχία του «Επιτάφιου»(3) πρέπει να αποδοθεί σε μεγάλο βαθμό στη σύλληψη του Θεοδωράκη. Εξάλλου, ο Μίκης σε πολύ σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα μετά τον «Επιτάφιο» έγραψε τραγούδια σε ρυθμό ζεϊμπέκικο («Σαββατόβραδο», «Δραπατσώνα», «Ένα δειλινό», «Το φεγγάρι κάνει βόλτα», «Βρέχει στη φτωχογειτονιά» κλπ.), που έχουν απόλυτα τη δική του σφραγίδα, είτε τα έπαιξε ο Χιώτης είτε ο Καρνέζης κι ο Παπαδόπουλος είτε ο Ζαμπέτας. Ακολούθησε τρίτη ηχογράφηση, το 1963, με το Μίκη Θεοδωράκη - Μαίρη Λίντα - Μανώλη Χιώτη και ορχήστρα εγχόρδων. Ο«Επιτάφιος» του Γιάννη Ρίτσου σφράγισε μια εποχή λαϊκών αγώνων και ανέδειξε το Γιάννη Ρίτσο, τον ποιητή των οραμάτων μιας νέας, αναγεννησιακής Πρωτομαγιάς του ανθρώπου και του κόσμου όλου. He was 85 and she was 74. After 54 happy years together, they decided to end their own lives rather than continue to struggle with serious health problems. They died peacefully, and under circumstances of their own choosing. They both lived life to the full and considered themselves to be extremely lucky to have lived such rewarding lives, both professionally and personally. Many medical advances are merely medicine gone mad, delivered by maddog doctors who cannot face failure. Quality of life can disappear under a forest of needles, wires, electronic gadgets and surgical proceedures. There are myriads dying trapped in hospitals waiting for useless tests when they want to be at home. Others in coma following accidents or strokes often linger for months, hovering in that twilight zone between life and death, sustained by massive effort even when there is no hope of meaningful future existence. Medical madness can be horrific. A friend went into hospital at the age of 75 for surgery which found inoperable tumour. She was a woman with strong faith, at peace, sustained by hope of eternal life. A day or two later she had a heart attack and was dying peacefully, as she had often prayed she would. But despite her wishes for no heroics the crash team was called and violent attempts were made to revive her with massive electric shocks and injections. She died anyway, without peace or dignity because no one stopped to think. The limits of life are constantly expanding, without regard for the well-being or will of the patient. In some emergency rooms, half of all admissions now come from nursing homes. If someone who is chronically ill has a heart attack or gets pneumonia there, the most sensible thing to do is to make sure that they don't suffer, and to refrain from doing anything else. But this is all too rare. Instead, old people, who are dying, are torn out of their familiar surroundings, rushed off to hospital in an ambulance, resuscitated and given artificial respiration. There are many patients who have been resuscitated only to remain alive in a vegetative state. Medicine puts many thousands of people a year in this awful state, in which they will remain suspended, unless they happen to have a living will. It was different in the past. In the 1960s, just about every other patient left the hospital in reasonably good health after resuscitation. The others died, partially because at the time you couldn't just keep feeding the unconscious. Today about one in 20 patients survives resuscitation. Take away those who leave the hospitals requiring long-term intensive care and the success rate drops. No brain can survive without oxygen for more than eight to 10 minutes. If a doctor knows that this time limit has been exceeded, the patient has enlarged pupils and is almost clinically dead, then his efforts are pointless. Unless of course, the doctor thinks it's a good thing to produce patients in a vegetative state, at a 99% success rate. The guiding principle for any physician is not to harm the patient. Additionally resuscitating someone who has metastasizing cancer and failing kidneys, after cardiac arrest, is completely pointless. This isn't any requirement for dialysis any longer either. Doing this, the doctor is just prolonging the patient's suffering. Artificial feeding through a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy(PEG) tube inserted into the abdominal wall was invented to feed accident victims or people with a temporarily impaired ability to swallow. It was never intended as a long-term measure. But today about millions of people are living off these tubes. That is even though many studies have shown that a PEG tube neither prolongs life nor improves its quality during the end phase. Many patients want their doctors to help them end their life with dignity, because they can no longer tolerate their suffering. There are situations in which it isn't just ethically justified, but in which doctors have a duty to do this. There are myriad situations in which a doctor is called upon to relieve the suffering of someone who is severely ill, and in a hopeless situation, and to conduct this in the manner in which the patient wants. In this sense, the doctor should see assisted suicide as a kind of palliative measure. In a spirit of compassion for all, every competent adult has the incontestable right to humankind's ultimate civil and personal liberty, the right to die in a manner and at a time of his own choosing. Whereas modern medicine has brought great benefits to humanity, it cannot entirely solve the pain and distress of the dying process. Venitis notes that kleptocrats oppose euthanasia, not for religulous reasons, but because they want many slaves around to pay taxes, with most of the loot finding its way to the secret offshore accounts of kleprocrats. Most Europeans want the establshment of euthanasia. Why a poor old guy who suffers from huge pain cannot escape from his misery to the other side? If we really are going to change how we spend money on health, it means we must change how we spend money on death. The growing traffic in death tourism is an indictment of a healthcare system that seems to incentivize everything except the peaceful death to which we all aspire. Let the people die in peace, and let society breathe in peace. Live and Let Die(1973) is the eighth spy film in the James Bond series, and the first to star Roger Moore as the fictional 007 agent James Bond. Venitis notes that euthanasia refers to the practice of ending a life in a painless manner, to live and let die. Euthanasia provides a way to relieve extreme pain, provides a way of relief when a person's quality of life is low, frees up huge medical funds from diminishing returns on health to help other people, is manifestation of selfownership. Venitis asserts that euthanasia is the most humane and sympathetic way one can end life. By committing euthanasia, one is giving the power to a medical professional to end one's life. This may be a personal issue, or one that is given to a person by way of a durable power of attorney. In both cases, drugs are either given or withheld to facilitate the natural cause of death. Patients who have cancer, AIDS, and other terminal medical conditions with a poor prognosis are those who commonly consider euthanasia. Euthanasia is now lawful in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and the American states of Oregon and Washington. Choosing to hasten death by self-starvation and dehydration should be accompanied by palliative care. Electing to die by terminal sedation is also a choice provided it is freely made by the patient. Living Wills and Durable Powers of Attorney for Health Care must be respectfully considered by medical professionals at all times. The most deadly substance on the market is pentobarbital, aka nembutal, that is a barbiturate and powerful sleep-aid. It is usually the substance used in medical euthanasia where that action is legal. Dignitas uses the following protocol to assist suicides: an oral dose of an anti-emetic drug, followed approximately 30 minutes later by a lethal overdose of 15 grams of powdered nembutal dissolved in a glass of water or fruit juice. The nembutal overdose depresses the central nervous system, causing the person to become drowsy and fall asleep within 10 minutes of drinking it. Anaesthesia progresses to coma as the person's breathing becomes more shallow. Άμα λοιπόν, διά τούτο καί φυλάει ό Θεός τήν Ελλάδα, τώρα ιδιαιτέρως νά τήν δοξάσει, αν καί πάντοτε έδειχνε τό μεγαλείον, όταν εγινότανε πόλεμος, αλλά καί τώρα ιδίως πού πρόκειται λοιπόν άπαντες διά παντός. Όχι ότι θά τήν μεγαλώσει ό Θεός. Θά τήν ανυψώσει, θά την δοξάσει οπότε επέρχεται η κάθαρσις, έχουμε ολίγες ημέρες νά μην έρχονται σέ απόγνωση. μόνο οφείλουμε να κηρύττουμε παντού καί νά λέγωμε παντού ότι καί πολλά καλά θέλουμε, Έχει πει καί ό Θεός ότι «ουδέ θρίξ της κεφαλής δέν θά πειραχθή εις τους μετανοούντας», αλλά όχι μετάνοια όπως τήν θέλουμε. Άρα λοιπόν, αγαπητοί, οφείλουμε νά γνωρίσουμε ότι, μή φοβηθούμε ό,τι λέγουν, ό,τι κάνουν καί ότι γίνεται, «ταύτα δει γενέσθαι». Καταλάβατε; Πρέπει νά γίνουν αυτά. Ήλθε η ώρα πλέον νά καθαρίσει, όχι η Δευτέρα Παρουσία, νά καθαρίσει τήν ήρα άπό τό στάρι. Καί ή πρώτη, η πρώτη Ελλάς αυτήν πού θά υποστεί από τους Τούρκους μια Μικρή, μια μικρή αυτήν όπως είπομεν προσβολή, αλλά είναι ό τάφος τους όμως της Τουρκίας. Ο τάφος τους καθώς τό είχανε πει καί αυτοί οι Τούρκοι, όπως είπαν μερικοί τώρα. Είπαν λέει ότι είναι αδύνατον ό Αλλάχ νά ανεχθεί, είναι αδύνατον ό Αλλάχ νά ανεχθεί, εμείς θά γίνουμε θηρία, σείς δέ δέν ξέρω άν θά μείνει κανένας από σάς. Όλίγοι πού θά μείνετε, θά πάτε στην Κόκκινη Μηλιά. Τό όποιο καί .... Άρα λοιπόν, άρα λοιπόν, νά είμεθα ετοιμασμένοι, χαρούμενοι, ότι ό μετανοών άνθρωπος, δέν πρόκειται νά ύποστή τίποτα. Να είμεθα χαρούμενοι, διότι εγνωρίσαμε τόν Χριστό, αλλά όχι όμως νά τόν λατρεύουμε όπως θέλει καθένας και λέγονται χριστιανοί άνθρωποι. Αν θέλουμε νά δούμε τόν Χριστό, πρέπει νά είμαστε ανεξίκακοι, πρέπει νά έχουμε αγάπη, διά νά τήν μεταδίδουνε καί αυτή, μέ τήν συμπεριφορά μας, μέ τόν τρόπο μας καί μέ τίς καλές πράξεις μας. Καί άν οί άλλοι άνθρωποι είναι αδύνατοι, νά τους βοηθήσουμε. Έάν οι άλλοι αυτοί είναι κακοί, νά προσπαθήσουμε, άν είναι δυνατόν νά δεχθούν τήν διδασκαλία τού Χριστού. Τότε ασφαλώς ό άνθρωπος αυτός θά καταξιωθή διά διπλής, όχι μερίδος, αλλά τιμής παρά τού Θεού καί παρά τών ανθρώπων.
